Hog Bay - Class B Grand Champion of Champions Monaghan's Parlay

(Casey’s Tuff Enough X Sandhill’s Miss Mona

Birthdate: August 16, 2007

OFA Good

Parlay resembles Mona in her build and structure, except that she is a “better version” of her mother conformation-wise.  With rare exception, she places every time she steps into the conformation ring. Parlay is a beautifully built, hard-to-find, silver leopard with gold trim, and she has one glass eye and one cracked eye. Her working style and instinct are very similar to that of her parents, Tuff and Mona.  She is extremely loyal and affectionate with her family. Parlay is a vigilant protector of our home, and the full-time 'yard dog' at Monaghan Catahoulas.

Parlay is NALC pointed in Conformation, Treeing, and is a Hog Bay - Class B Champion. Unfortunately, Parlay had to take some time off due to a disabling and permanent spinal injury incurred in early 2009. BUT she has made a great come back in the 2009/2010 show season. Parlay was ranked 3rd in the Nationals in 'Hog Bay - Class B' for the 2009/2010 show season and went on to win Reserve High Point Female for the year at the Nationals competition. Additionally, Parlay earned her 'Hog Bay - Class B' Championship title at the 2010 Louisiana show. We are so proud of the come-back Parlay has made, despite the permanent nature of her injury. She is ALL heart and drive!!!

Monaghan's Parlay earned her B-Bay Champion of Champions title and her B-Bay Grand Champion of Champions title at the NALC 2011 Nationals competition in April. Way to go gal!

Parlay is retired from all competition and is now owned by a friend of ours who lives outside of New Orleans. She is now hanging out with his cattle, riding in the truck, and sleeping on the back porch. I would not have trusted her to just anybody - it is funny how things come full circle...David sold me Callie over 10 years ago.

We kept a puppy out of Parlay, Monaghan's Raven. Raven is a sleek, shiny, jet black & tan gyp who is as agile as they come.
